My partner has often pointed out that at funerals people seem to have all these lovely memories of people who you knew to be complete assholes.
If we could just speak and acknowledge the truth at every turn in life, no matter how difficult or shocking, the world would improve in so many ways.

in other words,
‘different’ does not infer
greater or lesser,
more acceptable
or less palatable.
